Let’s do a little reminiscing on this past year…
My brother and Jackie came to visit!
And we celebrated my birthday with a Super Sweet Sixteen Birthday Party!
All I remember about February was snow, snow and more snow.
I ran my first 10k, and Eric ended up unofficially running it as well. It’s funny to think that at the beginning of the year I had never run further than 6 miles.
And Eric and I went to Austin for SXSW.
I went to my first blogger meet-up. Some of these people became really good friends, others I’ve never seen or heard from again, ha (where are you guys!?).
Eric and I also went on one of many trips to NYC/Brooklyn.
I ran the Broad Street Run, in really, really, really hot weather. It was my first longer distance run and it was awesome!
And then I ran my first half marathon a few weeks later. I never thought I would get to that distance, so it was a big deal for me. I ran with Leslie and Melissa, I had only met Leslie once and never met Melissa, now they are good friends of mine!
Eric rode his bike across Pennsylvania. I still can’t believe he did that, and he’s doing it again in a few months.
Eric and I celebrated ONE YEAR in Philadelphia. It was pretty awesome.
I went home for a few days for my annual family reunion.
We cooled off in the summer heat by going swimming at Devil’s Pool.
And my parents came for a weekend.
This was a pretty big month. We went to the beach.
Eric rode in his first bike race.
We went to Chicago.
Eric celebrated his birthday.
And I set a new personal distance of 15 miles.
Eric rode in his second bike race and did really well and almost placed.
I ran my second half marathon and met Krista for the first time.
And we went to a car show that was the trip from hell.
It was a slightly low key month. I did a lot of running.
And we went pumpkin picking.
While October was low key, November was very busy! I think we had something going on every weekend.
My friends came to visit, which was really awesome and made me really happy!
Eric and I went to San Antonio to run a half marathon. It was his first and he rocked it!
Then we went to Austin to hang out.
A week later I ran another half marathon and it was awesome.
And Eric and I stayed in Philly to celebrate Thanksgiving together.
I can’t believe this month is over.
We went ice skating!
And I got to see my entire side of the family for Christmas, which was the best thing ever.
Can’t wait for all the 2011 shenanigans! Everyone have a safe and happy New Year!
